ACPPA Community Art Center offers many ways for your organization to
incorporate arts and culture into your youth programming. We are happy to
design a program that enriches your specific curriculum. Simply call our office at

Preschool & Kindergarten Programs
These programs are designed for children aged 3-5 years of age targeting specific age appropriate social and
emotional development skills. Classes can be offered as one day workshops or in a series of 8 sessions.

Reading in Motion: Strengthen your students’ reading readiness skills with this program that increases phonetic
awareness and letter decoding through movement and music.
8 week session - 45 min program - $640 - max. 12 students

Creative Movement:
Explore various forms of locomotion, rhythms, and descriptive qualities, honing both small
and large motor skills, through games and guided improvisation.

Storybook Art:
Bring your favorite story characters to life in this fun-filled class. Each project recreates the main
character or explores the simple art process used by the illustrator.

Art Explorers:
Enjoy creative self expression through process oriented art studies. Little fingers lead the
exploration in this class!

Underwater Glimpse:
Combine science and art to create ever changing projects.

Animals in Pieces:
Invent new animals for your zoo by collaging wooden shapes together and decorating them
with paint and other found objects

Wet on Wet Watercolor:
Explore the amazing properties of watercolor paint!

Pinch Pots:
Learn this basic hand building technique with air dry clay.

Elementary School Programs
These programs are designed for children aged 5-11. Classes may be offered as a one day workshop or in a
series of 8 sessions.

Open Studio:
These workshops allow students to work at their own pace as they explore various art media and
techniques.

learn the dance of pop culture in an age appropriate setting
Creative Movement explore the vocabulary of locomotion through dance games and improvisation
Ballet escape to the graceful world of ballerinas and fairy tales
Yoga explore this rejuvenating art through the study of animal poses
Air Dry Clay learn basic hand building techniques with air hardening clay
Polymer Clay create wacky characters or beautiful jewels with a clay that really cooks
Watercolor Paints discover fun painting techniques with everyday, household items
Acrylic Paints create 3 dimensional paintings with acrylic paints
Oil Pastels create vibrants scenes with the original "crayons"
Printmaking print your favorite image infinite times and embellish them all to make them unique
Maskmaking take on a new personality with your mask creations
Collage create a new image made up of tiny pieces of found objects
Foil Tooling use pencils to create beautiful stained glass images
Papier Mache prepare to get messy as we create masks or bowls with sloppy, wet paper
Totem Poles  use air dry modeling clay to create a totem pole story
Underwater Glimpse combine science and art to create this ever changing project

Manga Makeover reinvent yourself as a manga character
Choose any one Open Studio Course as a 1 day workshop - 1 hour program - $90 - max 20 students
Tween , Teen, and Adult Programs
These programs are designed to attract your hardest customer, those students aged 12-18. Consider offering
these classes when your school district has early dismissal. Classes may be offered as a one day workshop or in a
series of 8 sessions.

Claymation: This class explores the process of creating a short animated film
using clay. Students will develop a story board, design their clay characters, shoot
scenes, and edit their film.
8 week session - 1.5 hour program - $800 - max 20 students

Open Studio:
In addition to the Open Studio courses offered to Elementary students, these courses are available
for older students.
Choose any of the following course offerings:
Batik
students will learn how to create their own textiles through the ancient technique of batiking, we offer both
the traditional style using hot wax or an alternative with washable glue and paint (1.5 hour)
Soap Making experiment with scents and colors to create the perfect bar of soap
Polymer Clay Beads/Jewelry Design design your own jewelry around beads made of polymer clay (1.5 hour)
Screenprinting the silk screening process has been simplified and made transportable for this class, create you
"stencil" and print it onto paper, tshirts, or totebags
Knitting explore various knitting techniques to create unique wearable art (1.5 hour)
Cartooning/Anime learn to draw your favorite manga character
Recycled Journals we'll give new life to wornout books as we create a writing or sketching journal
Candle Making give shape to wax in this illuminating class
Wire Sculpture create 3D characters completely out of wire (1.5 hour)
Building Design explore a variety of materials (1.5 hour)
Spray Paint Stencils design your own stencil and make a statement on tshirts, bags, or flags (1.5 hours)
